Andrew Andrew Andrew

Just wanted to show off my kidd-o
Gary and I decided to test the "sport" setting on the camera...
...and it works!

And finally, it's movie time with Brother.

Sleeping Monster

Jonah has been very, very fussy this week.
Jonas a estado muy fastidiado esta semana.
I'm not sure what's going on with him, he seems fine. I keep saying that it's a tooth (doesn't everyone?)

but I don't feel one...

My Mami Tola from Durango, said that they'll get diarrhea when they're teething and he's been pooping a lot--a LOT.

Nevertheless, all I want him to do is take a dang nap.
Todo lo que quiero esque se duerma...

And all he wants to do is take a dang nap.

So here he is, all sleepyfied.
Asi es que aqui esta mi dormiloncito.

He's so cute. Esta tan chulo.
I love the way he grabs his blanket and brings it up to his face.

And this is how he ignores me and continues drinking his milk while simultaneously trying to suck on his thumb AND hold on to his blanket...

This is what makes the fussiness worthwhile...

My son looks like WHO!?

 Someone decided that my son, Jonah looks like someone...

Jonah loves to wear stripes...

Can you see the resemblance?

He's Pugsly from The Addams Family movie!

Thanks to Uncle Carl for pointing that out, I'm sure he's cracking up RIGHT NOW.

boys!

We got an early summer present.
After the snow storms passed, this blue pool became property of the Witty's.
Now, don't ask me where the heck this came from!
One afternoon, I peeked in our backyard and saw this blue thing laying on our grass.
And nobody's been looking for it or claiming it.
I put a cinder block to keep the wind from blowing it away, and it kinda makes you wonder why the owner of this thing didn't do that same...

Andrew loves this thing. He collects rocks and sticks and plays with them in there.

And since the weather has been really nice and sunny lately, we go out to the backyard to enjoy it before the dreaded bloody mosquitos get here...ugh!!!

Jonah has been a trooper. We take him outside in his walker or sit him down in the playset or in the pool and he loves watching the outdoors and watching Andrew.
There was something that was drawing Jonah's attention...
Algo le llamaba la atencion a Jonas...
The cinder block was one...
En parte, era el bloque
...but brother's shoes were even more interesting!
He loves to line up any of the same objects
And this little guy just likes to look cute
Hermanos!
We tried something new one afternoon.
Even though Andrew seems like he's not enjoying it, this was his original idea.
One afternoon, he kept yelling "ma! ma!" So I went in search for him but I couldn't see him. I peeked below, and Andrew was inside the entertainment center. Smart guy. He'll be a great hide-and-seek player one day.
Love their faces in this pic! I'm glad I'm there to capture these moments
Andrew making a Lynet face
El Andresillo haciendo caras de Lynetilla...
5, 6 pick up sticks....
Recogiendo palos y palitos, y mas palos y palitos.
Daddy loves being outside with them,
and indoors as well!
al igual que adentro!

Do you see what I see?

Taken by Gary Witty

Do you see it? In the shadows?

I wish I was poetic so I could write a poem.

It's a heart!

Gary snapped it the day before V-day.

Gotta LOVE being a boy!!!

I can see spring days now.

He specifically chose that spot.

Valentine's Day 2011

We don't usually celebrate Valentine's in this house, mostly because we are not romantics by any means.

But I had told Gary, that my Valentine for him was to clean out his disgusting car that hasn't been cleaned out or washed in years -not months

Oh, I wish I would have taken a 'before' shot of this car...then you would all just cringe and shiver right along with me.

{Seriously, I would involuntarily snarl every time I would have to get in the car - no joke.}

So, being the clean-freak and lovin' wife that I am, I took it upon myself to tell him that this was my utmost love gift for him on this holiday.

He didn't say anything that made him sound excited, and he still thinks that his car was not that bad...

Pah-lease honey....

I present to you, the clean silver pony:

Yeah, it's clean.
If I would have taken a "before" picture, you would have seen 200 aluminum burrito wrappers, 50,000 Dr. Pepper cans, 100 Dr. Pepper plastic bottles, numerous school papers, and about 743 Reese's Peanut Butter Cup wrappers all over the front seats.
So, yeah. IT'S CLEAN.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Well, after my hubs got home, he said "get dressed."
Doesn't this remind you of an incident that happened not to long ago where he just chucks a shirt at me right before walking into my surprise baby shower?
No? Well, ok....
But it somewhat felt like that.
We got the boys ready too, loaded up and went towards downtown. I didn't know really where we were headed, just that we were eating.
I think I asked him like 10 times in 30 minutes where we were going. But he didn't budge.
So I was uber-excited when I finally figured it out--
We arrived at Cypress Street Station - YAY!!!
We've always wanted to go there because they brew their own beer.
So when we arrived, they sat us in the room, in the back, we were the only ones there, AND we had two kids. One of which was fast asleep.
Which was fine because I was terrified of being looked at by others in the front part (they looked like snobs).
We were seated and I quickly unpacked my camera and started snapping pictures.
Jonah couldn't stop staring out the doorway where all the commotion was coming from.
And notice how we have Jonah with his favorite blanket in a high-chair!
YES, a high-chair!
This is Mr. Witty with his sleeping boy.
He slept the ENTIRE dinner.
When we left the restaurant, we were buckling the kids up and Andrew woke up.
Later, Gary and I completely agreed that we were thankful he was asleep the entire time. We enjoyed ourselves a LOT more since we didn't have to keep an eye on Andrew at all times.
Always have to tell him no, get back here, shhh, sit still, etc.
But he's a little boy! Waddaya expect!?
Our menus
A little somethin' to entertain Jonah
Sleepy-head
We got some delicious rolls and butter.
Gary never chooses whole-wheat bread when we go to the grocery shopping - it's always white.
But tonight, he exclaimed "this bread is good!"
And I reminded him that it was whole-wheat...and then gave him a look.
Sometimes he makes no sense!
I'll remind him next time we're out of white, and the only thing left to eat is whole-wheat....
Our "flight" in the background was 4 samples of their home-brewed beers.
I picked Rag's Red Ale (shown in the background on the right) and Gary picked the Pilsner (left)
The waiter recommended we try the Pork Chop with Raspberry Chipotle sauce...it was so good!
I had the Tuscan Chicken topped with Bruschetta and Provolone and some spicy creamy corn.
Again, it was delicious.
Jonah just had bread and crackers and cheese. He loved it.
Lipstick stains...
And that's how you eat and hold a baby at the same time.
Erinshire photo shoot
When my family from Dublin came to visit, I thought what better way to make good use of my brand-spankin'-new camera.
So I took the fam like 3 blocks down our street to this beautiful place called Erinshire
During the winter, when everything's dead, it doesn't look too appealing.
But you can just imagine what it looks like when all the greenery starts to grow!
Here are some pictures of that day
{remember to click on the pictures if you wanna see them full resolution}
I loved this red barn backdrop.
The kids were concerned about the sturdiness of the bench, however.
Too cute!
Where there's water, there's an Andrew
Jonah all smiles!
My Jonah Bear
A blue kitty joined our shoot, Andrew finally got to pet it.
Andrew and his sticks!
Beautiful
I say we come back to this place and take their Senior pictures - ha!
Mr. Adventurous
He's so photogenic when he wants to be...
Brothers
Isn't he precious!?!
Dawna and Andrew in the "casita"
Jonah refused to look at the camera, saying that there was something MUCH more interesting on the ground...
Let's not forget Scrappy's million dollar shot.
