Christmas at the Witty's

When we got to Nana's, Jonah was an instant cuddle-bug with his Nana.

"Despicable Me" came out the week before Christmas and they gave you an inflatable minion.
Too cute.
dibby padabbba boo duooo banana?
that's minion gibberish, in case you're wondering....

The boys got to unwrap SO  many gifts!
The presents included: socks, pajamas, underwear (thanks Nana & Papa!), fruit puffs, a camo snuggie, and TOYS, TOYS, TOYS!

Jonah had fun with his wrapping paper....

Andrew got a HUGE sketch doodle pad (is that what those things are called?!?)

Andrew was somewhat interested in Jonah's toys too!

Chance loves his cousins. He lets them sit on him and laugh with him.
He's a good cousin!

Jonah opening up his handmade stocking, LOOKEY HERE!
Apple Cinnamon PUFFS!

Now it's Andrew's turn!

A squishy football!

What's this?
A Lightyear Ray Gun?
It's Bryce's??!?!?!?! I DON'T THINK SO!

Papa was handing out the stockings with help from the Bates' boys

Chance digging through his. He wasn't too excited since the other boys had already opened theirs, and Suprise! It's the same things the other boys already got, except in different color! Poo...

Guess what Santa brought Gary!?
He was a bad boy...

Bryce was helping Nana out with her stocking...   :0)

We hope your 2011 is a year to remember!
Ojala y el año 2011 sea uno bueno para recordar!

New Jonah pics!

These are all from this past week!
He's such a beautiful smiley baby!
Jonah in his viking hat and yellow block one morning...

Bright-eyed after waking up from his nap.
His cheeks get rosy!

Mommy and Jonah...
What's up with the deer-in-the-headlights looks?

YAY! He found his feet!

Jonah likes to blow bubbles and slobber all over himself.

After his bath, he's always ALL-Smiles!

After a days work...Jonah's spent.

Jonah and Friends

Andrew was a serious baby.
I seriously thought all babies were like that.
He never really liked to play with toys and hardly laughed out loud.

Not Jonah.

Jonah is a lively and playful little guy.
He smiles a lot.
He slobbers a lot.
He laughs a lot.
He squeals a lot.
He talks a lot.
I often wish he'd understand the words "Please be quiet"

He loves to grab for things now.
Including my hair.
My face.
My glass of water.
He's a totally different baby than what Andrew was.

He's a pro at sucking his thumb.
He's beginning to get the hang of sitting up.
He gets the hang of eating cereal now.
He goes backwards like a champ in his walker.
And maybe by now, he knows what Andrew is.
A menace.
He takes tons of naps.
Andrew has only taken 1 nap during the day for his entire life.
Jonah mostly wakes up a happy baby and smiles when he sees me hover over his crib.
He stares at his mobile for long periods of time.
He has such a concentrated and baffled look upon his face, that it makes me wonder very much what he thinks.

Sometimes he's the weirdest little creature...
Quietly he pushes twice and a massive poop happens.

That's a different baby than Andrew for sure.

But, here's my pride and joy.
The friendliest, easiest, happiest baby on earth.

Jonah staring down his pal, Ribbit

Got a hold of that woolly mammoths nose

These are his walker pals

Here he is with his chewable dog...he loves this guy!

Sitting up for 3 seconds!

His newest toy, a John Deere vibrating teether!
He doesn't get the hang of it, yet :(

Andrew Witty!!!

This is Andrew...

He likes to put things in line nowadays.
Including his army men.

And after he lines them all up...
He knocks them down

Until they're spread all over the living room floor

Today, we painted.
I got him a 99 cent watercolor palette which I remember having a bunch while I was a kid.
He loved it and it's hardly a messy business.

He is a beautiful artist.

He's at Nana's. He looks so grown up in this picture.
I love my Andrew Witty.

Abilene Downtown Parade 2010

We went to the Abilene Christmas Parade in Downtown Abilene last week!
It was not as exciting as the one Ft. Worth has, but it wasn't too bad.
They gave our free cocoa, had a high school band playing Christmas music and the floats were pretty.
It was C-O-L-D!!! So we bundled up good :)

Stroller was a must. Jonah was in the sling.

Such hams....

Andrew liked to wave "bye" to the floats.

Family picture.
3/4 of Lynet's face, the back of Jonah's blue bear head, beautiful Gary and in the shadows, Andrew.
This was the best we could get :)

Andrew had to go tee-tee so we took a potty break.
We ate some cupcakes at a new cupcake place called "Sweet Celebrations" and they were really good!

Andrew got a piece of candy and was too entertained to smile at the camera.
Gary, however, likes to wave at cameras.

Christmas Tree out of lights.

And then there was Gingy!!!

We knew Santa was going to be around, so we made sure to stick around.
I knew, of course, that Andrew would NOT want to go anywhere near Santa so I didn't even force him into it. I did ask him about 200 times if he wanted to go sit with Santa - all to no avail.

Jonah was snuggled up so good in the sling that he fell asleep half way through the parade.
When I handed Jonah to Santa, he didn't even stir.
Santa said he liked sleeping babies.

So now there I have a picture of Santa and Andrew when he was 5 months, and also Santa and Jonah at almost 5 months.

We still haven't really decided about doing Santa with Andrew. He knows how to point him out and he knows what he should look like. I don't think he knows WHAT Santa's purpose is...
I think we will end up doing Santa with the boys since every time I see one, I loudly yell "Look Andrew! It's SANTA!" and he has no option but to look...
I mean, what can I say? I love this Holiday!
