Remember Andrew's bed?

It fits perfectly in his room/Mom Studio and he loves his little wobbly bed.

But he has recently acquired a new bed. 

Thanks to Moomie.

And it's AWESOME.

Only it's the wrong color. 

And a twin.

And a "half" bunk bed.

Oh dear.

Where on earth are we putting it?

Who knows. 

But Andrew sure did notice when his bed was gone.

 And all he had was this: 

Anyway, when his bed gets painted, I hope it will fit in here...

Their birthday party is coming up this weekend and we've got a huge surprise for the boys, I can't wait to open it myself!

Cheese moment!

In other news, it's been record high heats throughout Texas (and other states) that we have no option than to walk around nude...

Yes, those are mine. All mine.

We also walk around in underwear, or chones, and we like to pretend we're Iron Man with construction paper circles and fake sound effects coming out of our mouths.

We also love, love, love going outside. 

But not in the heat and definitely not the sun.

So we busted out some Christmas lights, which the hubs spent endless minutes setting them all up and making our backyard look amazing, and we just chill. In our little blue pool. With naked children. And a couple of cold ones.

He even lit up the playset so Andrew and Jonah could see where they play.

That night was just perfect. How I'm going to miss those nights.

No rude neighbors anymore. Lots of privacy. No dogs. 

It was blissful.

I mean, look at how much fun they're having!!

If only those dang squirrels would keep their little chompers of our lights...

He's been doing it for quite a while now, but recently it's becoming more and more popular

As I've said MANY time before, Andrew loves to go exploring.

He's a boy! Duh.

Siempre he dicho que a Andres, le fascina ir a explorar

Pues es niño, obvio no?

Lately, he's been picking up random things from the neighbor's area and from the ground that are insignificant, dirty, buried, and sometimes interesting.

Pero ultimamente, le a encantado recoger cositas interesantes de la parte del vecino. Son cosas sucias, que estan enterradas en la tierra, pero a veces son interesantes.

He picks them up,

Los recoge,

he inspects them,

los revisa,

he shows them to me, 

me los enseña,

and then, he brings them all to his playset.

y se los trae a colectar a su juego.

He loves to just play with them and make them into deadly tools or swords.

He found a Sharpie and wrote on his hands too.

Le encanta inspectarlos, revisarlos, verlos, pero lo que mas le gusta es que son sus herramientas, se convierten en sus espadas, y etc.

Tambien se encontro un plumon y se rayoneo en la mano!

The Witty Men

time to BLOG!

This was one of our family afternoons...

Lame. 

I mean my po' boy was bored to death!

Not even a silly face made him feel happy!!!

So we headed to Sonic where Andrew always yells out "I wanna go play!!!" when we drive by it. 

Why?!?

Because it's the only Sonic in the nation that has batting cages, a sand volleyball court, and a sand play area for kiddos...it's been featured on the Traveling Channel too!

It's his favorite place I tell ya. 

Instantly, he knew he was about to get some playtime when we pulled in.

Gary & Jonah just chilled for a while...and I was crazy snapping some pictures, 'cause you know, it's my favorite thing to do...

...and Andrew took his shoes off in 1.2 seconds and negligently left them there

We won't forget about Jonah. He's old enough to have fun too.

We got an early summer present. 

After the snow storms passed, this blue pool became property of the Witty's. 

Now, don't ask me where the heck this came from!

One afternoon, I peeked in our backyard and saw this blue thing laying on our grass.

And nobody's been looking for it or claiming it.

I put a cinder block to keep the wind from blowing it away, and it kinda makes you wonder why the owner of this thing didn't do that same...

Recibimos un regalo de verano temprano.

Despues de toda la nieve que cayo, una alberca nos encontro.

No me pregunten de donde salio, porque no tengo la menor idea.

Solo se que vi el jardin, y ahi estaba una alberca azul acostada en nuestro zacate.

Y nadie la ha venido a reclamar asi es que es de nosotros por el momento.

Le puse un bloque para que no se volara la cosa...me hace pensar en porque los dueños no lo hicieron desde el principio. 

Andrew loves this thing. He collects rocks and sticks and plays with them in there.

A Andres, le encanta colectar piedras y palitos y juega con ellos adentro de la alberca.

And since the weather has been really nice and sunny lately, we go out to the backyard to enjoy it before the dreaded bloody mosquitos get here...ugh!!!

Y mientras el clima ah estado muy hermoso, aprovechamos para salir todos los dias antes de que los mugres mollotes lleguen a arruinar el dia....

Jonah has been a trooper. We take him outside in his walker or sit him down in the playset or in the pool and he loves watching the outdoors and watching Andrew.

A Jonas le encanta sentarse y ver su alreadedor. El arbol que se mueve con el viento, o las ojas en el piso, pero lo que mas le gusta es ver a su hermano mayor moverse de un lado pa'l otro.

Hermanos!

We tried something new one afternoon. 

Even though Andrew seems like he's not enjoying it, this was his original idea.

One afternoon, he kept yelling "ma! ma!" So I went in search for him but I couldn't see him. I peeked below, and Andrew was inside the entertainment center. Smart guy. He'll be a great hide-and-seek player one day.

Una tarde, intentamos algo nuevo

Aunque parece que no le esta cayendo muy bien a Andres, no le crean--esto fue SU idea, no mas que no le gusto que le tomara foto y tenia algo en su pie que le nefasteaba.

Un atardecer, me andaba gritando, "Ma! Ma!" y hay voy a ver que anda haciendo...

No lo podia encontrar! Me tuve que agachar y resulta que lo encontre metido adentro del mueble. Esta listillo, no? Sera super inteligente para las escondidas.
