andrew has been at vbs in the mornings all this week. i think it's sorta upsetting for jonah because he has asked every morning to go into his class and it breaks my heart that he's too young for vbs right now.
but no worries because jonah doesn't get phased by disappointments. he just forgets about it, shows no emotion and moves onto the next thing {it's a trait he inherited from his daddy, which is somewhat infuriating and amazing at the same time}
it's been just me and jojo. i have a feeling we will be best friends by the time christmas rolls around...just me and him, spending countless hours together. and i love that {i think}.
so, tuesday we watched movies. yesterday, we went swimming. today, we did chalk art and rode bikes.
i made that chalk paint recipe again but this time with more colors and less people--we both enjoyed it.
he has such an abstract style. i tried replicating it, but i just couldn't get it quite jonah-esque. i love it so much, he just dips his paintbrush in every single color and swishes it here and splashes it there. it amazes me.
and next up, bike riding!
that little boy is as happy as he can be on that bike.
simple moments is about finding the small things that make up our everyday, things we want to remember and be thankful for. it's the little bits of our lives that might not be remembered when we are gray and old. so we document it, on paper, with a photo, in a journal, through a blog.ps. it's almost the weekend and almost andrew's birthday and almost time to visit home! so excited for these next few days! yay!
I love this simple moments! nice pics..looks like fun!
