You won't believe it but after Beale Street, Cozy Corner BBQ and the Pink Palace, we managed to still find energy to stop at the Shelby Farms Park which is 4500 acres big inside Memphis. We saw deer freely roaming the rolling hills while we tried finding our way to the Discovery Playground they have. It looked so fun online and we were in for a treat as soon as we arrived.
As soon as the kids saw the massive playground, they took off! I was having a hard time catching them with my camera...
The very next morning, we fixed and ate breakfast. Carl made us a type of Brazilian quesadilla with tapioca flour. Karina & Elena juiced some fruits and made the kids drink it. It wasn't bad at all, it's just they're so picky (especially the boys) so they made their silly faces.
We went to the downtown area, there were two spots Gary should go: Mud Island and Bass Pro Pyramid.
When we arrived, it felt deserted. And we were right. Nothing was open. Everything was empty. And there were only a few other people roaming the property sightseeing as well. It was one big mystery as nothing stated why everything was shut. Every door we tried was locked and there wasn't a definitely reason on Google that would say the reason it had closed down. It was a very cool place to explore though...
Soon we made our way to the Bass Pro Shop Pyramid which was only a short drive away. We all really had to go to the bathroom too!
This store was massive. And free. We wasted a couple of hours looking at everything and touching and grabbing everything. We didn't go to the top of the pyramid but there is a restaurant up there. We were impressed by everything else though!
And this is the tent where Karina left her phone behind! 😱 Luckily they were able to track it back and found it safe and sound. But it was a bit of a scare!
Stay tuned for the last and final installment of our Memphis Spring Break 💕 See ya!
