The Happiest Time of the Year

In the country again, after a whole year - Christmas Card 2018

Well howdy! It's been a year and no posts and I'm slowly convincing myself that this blog is worth my time and efforts to continue. We have had a wonderful 2018 and we look forward to 2019 with the same delight. Meanwhile, here was our family portrait for our Christmas card, in my parent's field. Last year's picture was taken at my in-laws. 

I'm curious where 2019 pictures will be taken at :) 

A lot of growth this year, when compared to last photos. 

The kids were told by their Moomie to jump for a picture, and I analyzed each of their personalities through their jump. In a nutshell, Jonah doesn't have a care in the world with his best jump, Elena is full of joy but by the book looking at the camera, and Andrew does it the fastest (laziest?) way possible with a hint of goofiness. Makes me wish Gary and I would have jumped too, ha!

Also, I must confess--I'm not a very good planner! These were taken in December and let me tell you something: DON'T WAIT TIL DECEMBER TO TAKE FAMILY PICTURES. Ugh, the weather. Texas weather anyway... In ONE day it can freeze, rain, fog, and feel like summer within a few hours. It's nuts. And actually, I did plan on making an elaborate background for our pictures and that idea was just too much to bear with everything else on my plate. 

Now, if you're wondering, "Lynet, you're a stay at home mom, what do you do all day?" That my friend, is a question I assume you know better than to ask a SAHM mom. But if you must know, our paper shop took off with a bang mid November and I have barely had any time to breathe let alone cook supper every night and pick up my family's dirty socks. 

SO. I did what I could with what I got and this, THIS is what I got. And I will cherish in absolute what I've got because to me, it's the most important thing. 

So enjoy our ridiculousness and my totally made up words....

So this is it before the big day! We hope your time with family & loved ones is the most warmest, beautifullest, precious time of all.

yes! it's finally here! waited three hundred and something days for this! i'm excited, i hope you're having an awesome day as well. 

just wanted to drop by and say here is this years holiday card i sent out to friends and family. the first one without gary and me. i kinda wish we were in it, but better planning next year! i still love it though.
