Christmas last year, with my in-laws, were spent in a rental home on the coast of texas for three days. it was one of the best christmases we've ever had. we spent true quality time with one another in a tiny house. hot cocoa, games, decorations, good food, NO tv which was like wow!, each other, and a gorgeous view is all we had for a few days.
my husband, the late riser, pretty much missed all of the sunrises which were spectacular. i did catch a sunset. i found a sand dollar on my very first morning so i considered that a good sign. we had silly boys (including a crazy papa!) trying the freezing cold gulf water and some light tears were shed from the pain, and we scanvenged and collected anything and everything.
our christmas night was amazing with presents, music, wrapping paper, and most importantly the love from the awesome nana & papa. without them, we wouldn't have been fortunate to have these memories.
