Happy Easter y'all! I made the kids trace their hands and I turned them into bunnies! We celebrated completely on our own this year, no visiting relatives or having company, thanks to the coronavirus.

pancake cookies

I don't know what hit me on the head one morning, but I decided to make the boys some pancakes for breakfast. On a school day. Yes, I am crazy. I took a few shots that morning {with my camera, not my rum}. But as always, lighting at 7am in a dark kitchen the results came out less than pleasant.
But that same weekend, "pancake cookies" were requested again. And I obliged because I knew I could do better the second time around.
I made sure to spray the cutters with cooking oil so the pancake mix wouldn't stick and voila! Perfectly shaped and decorated "pancake cookies"....

did you know I have two cookie monsters living with me? it's true. their names are andrew & jonah. and they sneak cookies like pros. just good ol', plain sugar cookies were the object of their morning, noon, and afternoon sneak attacks.
i fall head over heels for these two.

and I couldn't help but post these as well.
they've been on a air-mattress rampage lately--refusing to sleep in their beds. one morning I went downstairs to find them asleep in the same position. but what's even better about this shot, is the fact that when i left my comfortable bed that morning because i could not sleep a wink, their father was laying in this same position as well.
